1st Solution: Putting a Price on Carbon

Companies should be held accountable for polluting our planet.  As our global temperatures rise, and our cities are left to pay for the impacts, private companies contributing to this climate crisis should pay for contributing to the problem. These funds could go to help cities fund resiliency efforts at a local level.

2nd Solution: Ban Offshore Drilling (State & Federal)

Florida can not afford another BP oil spill.  Oil spills do not respect state lines-   They destroy our economy, health, & environment. While our elected officials voted to protect our state waters from offshore drilling, at a federal level they are continuing to explore and drill. Instead of continuing to rely on fossil fuels, we should be putting all of our efforts to transition to renewable energy, which will provide clean energy independence and more jobs.

3rd Solution: Transition to 100% Renewable Energy by 2050

Florida should be known as the Solar State!   Renewable energies do not contribute to additional heat trapping gasses, and create more jobs that are safer!   This is a win-win for everyone!
